busy little bees

I've been able to photograph the last of the summer action in my garden: bees and bumblebees populating the girasoles.

My computer bestowed a four months internet break upon me. That's why it was so quiet! :)

In the meantime I have started a new watercolour course where we are trying a new technique with very pasty, rich colours. I find it quite challenging.

Spring

It took so long and now he's arrived he has covered everything in petals. :)

New drawing challenge

I have tried a life-drawing self portrait - so not after a photograph, life in the mirror.
It was challenging and fun.
By the way, I only look annoyed, it's pure concentration! :)

In time before the melt I was recouperated enough for a walk - underneath clear blue sky - perfect for snow photography. :)

I haven't uploaded for a while as my home refurbishment has taken up much of my time and energy in the last months. Happy New Year everyone! :)

Today I took some photos of my cat Liese, they are almost like nude model shots, she is enchanting, words fail me, so let the pictures speak instead.

My cat enjoys the last few sunny days this year - and her shadow follows her like a massive two-dimensional black&white copy. A great image for a pencil sketch!
